The handle of the knife is made of stainless steel with wooden overlays, assembled on bushings, so the knife can be easily washed if necessary. The knife opens quickly with the assistance of a flipper (a mechanism for accelerated opening). The handle has a lanyard hole and a clip for convenient pocket placement. The blade of the knife is made of heat-resistant martensitic steel 3Cr13. The advantage of this steel is excellent corrosion resistance due to its high chromium content (13%). The optimal content of alloying elements in the composition of the 3Cr13 alloy gives it good hardness in the range of 52-55 HRC. Due to the low carbon content (0.3%), the blade holds its sharpness moderately, but can be easily sharpened even after active use of the knife. No additional sharpening accessories are required, a simple sharpening stone or honing rod is sufficient.
