Since ancient times, horseradish tincture has been known in Russia. Peter the Great even issued a decree in the early 18th century stating that each homestead should have 5 quarters of horseradish vodka, especially for those engaged in heavy work and exposed to cold.
Classic horseradish vodka has a bright taste with a slight burning sensation of horseradish root and spices. The aftertaste is soft and enveloping. The aroma is soft with spicy notes of nutmeg, clove, and star anise. The tincture pairs well with meat dishes, hearty salads, hot and cold snacks, pickles, jellied meat, mushrooms, and dishes of Russian and Belarusian cuisine. Want to do it right? Do it yourself!
