Use the round ribbed tumbler to set the coarseness of the grind, 3. Press the power button, 4. Turn the mill over the dish you want to season - the device will turn on automatically, and a blue downward-facing light will illuminate your dish, 5. Once the dish is seasoned, turn the mill back over with the tumbler facing up. The mill only turns on when flipped over, which helps reduce battery consumption and prevents accidental activation of the device.
