The Russian winter, sung for centuries in art, is a wonderful time of year, reflecting the national character and one of the most famous symbols of Russia. "Zimushka-zima", as it was affectionately called in Rus, is a time of Christmas holidays, home comfort, warm gatherings, and the splendor of transformed nature. It is also a long season of strong frost, shaping the famous Russian qualities: resilience, endurance, and courage.
The scarf "Russian Winter" embodies the folklore image of the winter beauty.
The artistic space is structured like a book illustration, where the central plot unfolds in a frame of patterns inspired by wooden architecture. A troika of horses, a sleigh with a red maiden, a stylized image of Ded Moroz or Morozko, spruce trees dusted with snow, surrounded by kind forest animals, are filled with deep symbolism and create an atmosphere of magic. Orthodox churches among lush snowdrifts, illuminated by bright sunbeams, signify the triumph of faith, rebirth, and love.
The scarf "Russian Winter" was created in collaboration with the MAKO Association. The idea was conceived by Anna Revyakina.
